This Banff tree is located along Forty Mile Creek and somewhat adjacent to the Fenland Trail. It is situated behind the Fenland Recreation Centre. If you arrive into Banff using Norquay Road, this tree is on the left hand side near a short bridge. At the time I sketched it for painting, it was a prominent tree in the landscape.

The Town of Banff was looking for artwork for the new Rec Centre, and when they learned about this piece it seemed a perfect fit. You can view it upstairs on the mezzanine level any time the Fenland building is open.
